Mike & Katie are having a baby!

I met Katie years ago in what seems like a previous life sometimes.  We both worked in the same shopping center and knew each other only through passing.  Now, Katie is no longer working at the coffee house while she goes to school.  Instead she’s been busy getting married, becoming a teacher and now, having her first baby!  It’s such a happy reason to reconnect and I was so excited when she told me she wanted maternity portraits.  Katie is one of those super cute, teeny tiny pregnant women.  I had to actually make her hold her dress tight just so you can see there’s a baby in there!  If only we could all be so lucky!  Katie, you look stunning in your XS, non-maternity dress!  The gorgeous afternoon light at her parents’ home sure doesn’t hurt either!  I’m loving the light!

Mike wore these itty bitty cowboy boots as a baby.  I love that he still has them!  And they’re all broken in for their little boy.

I want to live in this backyard.  I’ve been there several times and it’s so pretty and inviting, I never want to leave!

So happy.

Clearly this kid is going to be blessed with some incredible eyes!  Just look at Mom & Dad!
