Press Printed Books

I’m so excited to finally start telling you about the products I offer!  I’ve spent quite a bit of time exploring and researching the wide world of books and albums and I’ve finally narrowed it down to what I think are the absolute best.  There are a number of different companies I will be using to offer a variety of options to cover both ends of the price spectrum so everyone can afford to show off their photos in a beautiful way that will last a lifetime.

First up is a beautiful Press Printed Book with hinged pages from the incomparable WHCC.  These books are extremely well made and are so much more than you get with the online photo-sharing sites.  I can personalize the book to fit your needs/wants/wildest dreams in a number of ways.  The most obvious customization, is the cover.  This book is an example of a custom photo cover that I designed for my wonderful clients Natalie & Mike.  Graphic design is becoming more and more of a hobby of mine and I think the custom covers are really something special.  No two clients will ever have the exact same custom cover, it will be designed especially for you!  If something simple is what you prefer, I also offer a variety of other cover options from cloth to floral to vintage leather & suedes.

Sizes range from a 5 x 5 inches, all the way up to a 11 x 14 book with a variety of sizes and shapes in between.  You can choose anywhere from 20 to 90 sides (pages) for your book.

This book is 8.5 x 11 inches with a custom cover.  I designed this particular cover to be fun and vibrant just like the couple it belongs to.  I also chose the theme to match their wedding colors.

The custom photo covers also allow me to print text on the binding, which I think is pretty cool.

The pages are hinged and stitched together so they lay completely flat.  The paper is 110# hinged paper.  It is much thicker than the photo-sharing books like Blurb and Shutterfly for a higher end feel and look.  These books are made to last.

I thought a lot about how I wanted to design books and albums and I decided early on that I like clean lines and only very minimal text.  The photos should tell their own story and I don’t think they need any special layouts or words to distract from your beautiful images.  This is the first page of the Sweeney’s album, and the only text in the entire book.

The images are press printed directly onto the pages and then bound together.  The photos are high quality with extremely vibrant colors (just how I like them) and very clear, sharp images.  The option for full bleed photos (a whole page photo without a border) is fantastic too!
